Window Tinting Is About More Than Darker Glass
Good window tint can change how your vehicle looks and feels. It can add privacy, help reduce heat coming through the glass, support UV protection, and make the vehicle look more finished from the outside. For many drivers, the goal is simple: less exposure, better comfort, and a cleaner appearance without overcomplicating the choice.
Film Options for Privacy, Comfort, & Heat Rejection
P1’s tint options are built around how you actually use your vehicle. Some drivers want more privacy, others want better comfort on sunny days, and many simply want their vehicle to look more finished.
We proudly install STEK window film, a trusted tint brand, with three tint options available: Carbon Film, Ceramic Film, and Ceramic Graphene-Infused. Each of the three types offer 99% UV protection, with varying degrees of heat reduction.
P1 currently stocks 5%, 15%, 20%, and 35% film options. Final shade recommendations depend on the vehicle, window location, and Oregon requirements.
Window Film Types
Carbon
This is a practical choice for drivers who want their vehicle to feel less exposed and look more finished. It keeps the focus on privacy and appearance without jumping straight to the highest-performance film.
Ceramic
Ceramic window film helps reduce more heat than a basic privacy-first film. Its nano ceramic materials block up to 87.5% of infrared light and reduce solar energy up to 60% all while reducing glare by up to 92%.
Ceramic Graphene-Infused
This premium nano-ceramic window film will never fade and delivers superior clarity and performance. It is manufactured with graphene to provide maximum-heat-rejection, blocking up to 94.59% of infrared light.
Installed in a Controlled Environment
Because window tint is installed on the inside of the glass, a clean work environment matters. P1 handles tint installation in an enclosed garage or shop setting, where the glass can be prepped carefully and the film can be applied with less exposure to dust or debris. That extra control helps support a cleaner, more consistent finished result.

Pricing & Booking for Window Tinting
Window tint pricing depends on the vehicle and the type of film that makes the most sense for the job.
Base package pricing includes the two side windows, backseat windows, and rear windshield, and excludes the windshield and sunroof. Tint removal is available at $75 per hour when old film needs to come off before the new tint is installed.

Owner-Led Service With Clear Expectations
Because P1 Auto Detail is an owner-led local shop, the customer experience stays personal, accountable, and closely connected to the quality of the work. With window tinting now part of the service lineup, P1 brings the same careful approach to every tint installation: clear communication, clean workmanship, and a commitment to helping each vehicle look sharper, feel more comfortable, and leave with a finished result the customer can trust.
What to Know Before Booking
A good tint appointment starts with knowing what to expect. P1 will help you choose a shade that suits your vehicle while keeping Oregon requirements in mind.
Once the film is installed, it needs a few days to cure before the windows can be rolled down. Plan to keep your windows up for the first three days after installation unless you choose the same-day roll-down option, which may be available for an additional charge.
If there is old tint to remove first, P1 can handle that as a separate step since some films come off more easily than others. The STEK film includes a manufacturer's lifetime warranty, and P1 may offer an optional no-fault warranty add-on.
Shade choices depend on vehicle, window location, and Oregon requirements.

Auto Window Tinting FAQs
-
Carbon tint is a practical option for privacy and appearance. Ceramic tint is usually the better fit for drivers who want stronger heat rejection and cabin comfort. Ceramic graphene-infused is P1’s highest heat-rejection option.
-
Ceramic graphene-infused film makes sense if cabin comfort and heat rejection are your top priorities. Graphene disperses heat at an incredible rate. As a result, your AC runs at a lower setting to keep you comfortable, putting less strain on your MPG. Not to mention, most EVs have huge windows, so ceramic graphene-infused film can make a big difference in keeping the interior cool year-round without compromising the battery’s charge.

P1 currently stocks 5%, 15%, 20%, and 35% tint options. Final shade recommendations depend on your vehicle, the window location, and Oregon requirements.
-
Not always. Darkness affects visibility and privacy, but heat rejection also depends on the film technology. Ceramic and Ceramic Graphene-Infused films are designed for improved comfort compared with a basic privacy-first film.
-
Oregon tint rules depend on the window, the vehicle, and the total light that passes through the glass after film is installed. P1 can help you choose a shade that fits your goals while keeping Oregon requirements in mind.
-
Full windshield tinting is not offered as a standard service. P1’s package pricing excludes the windshield and sunroof.
-
Timing depends on the vehicle, the number of windows, the film option, and whether old tint needs to be removed. A smaller job may take less time, while a more complete vehicle package can take several hours.
-
Plan to keep your windows up for the first three days after installation so the film has time to cure properly. Same-day roll-down may be available for an additional charge if it is selected and confirmed with P1.
-
Yes. Tint removal is available for $75 per hour when old film needs to be removed before the new tint is installed. Removal time can vary based on the old film, adhesive, and vehicle.
-
The manufacturer, STEK, provides a lifetime warranty on the film against fading, delamination, bubbling and cracking, subject to the applicable warranty terms. P1 may also offer an optional no-fault warranty add-on. Final coverage should be confirmed before or during booking.
